Whether you are a long time Camp Snoops supporter, or new to our mission, you have likely seen our posts regarding our Chili BBQ. For the first 6 years of our mission, we hosted a Chili BBQ and Silent Auction every fall to remember Matt and raise money to support the Camp Snoops Organization. This was our biggest fundraising event of the year and allowed us to send educational postcards teaching about Memorial Day and Veterans Day to schools, support several Memorial Day Remembrance programs in schools, support essay contests, assist Veterans who have the need for hospital beds or trac-chairs, send care packages to homeless veterans, stockings to the children of Military families and much more!
In 2020, like many others, we were forced to cancel our Chili BBQ due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions on gatherings. While this prevented us from fundraising in person, we didn’t let it keep us down; instead, we instituted our online raffles. Our virtual raffles are allowing us to continue to raise funds while we all navigate this new path of virtual events and ‘gatherings’.
